"We’ve been digging on Christchurch indie-pop duo The Response for a while, and their new album ‘North of Nowhere’ only serves to solidify their place as one of our favourite finds. The husband and wife team are indie proper, taking on all duties including writing, recording, mixing, mastering and artwork. ‘North of Nowhere’ draws on contemporaries like Grizzly Bear, Arcade Fire and Sufjan Stevens –homegrown synths, reverb-soaked banjos and fuzzed-out guitars.
